Going Bananas for Bananas; at the Original Banana Company in Laurel Springs.
Luckily, I had the opportunity to visit the Original Banana Company in Laurel Springs, NJ. The owner, Dina Murphy, and her son, Kyle Murphy, greeted me at the door, immediately sparking a conversation and making me feel so welcome. Inside, a few chairs and tables, along with banana-themed decor, were such a cute introduction to the sweetness I had in store. There is plenty of flavors to dip your frozen banana into, as well as frozen pineapples and mini banana bread ice cream sandwiches.
Dina Murphy and her son Kyle Murphy show off their many flavors of this very original idea they've had "Honestly bananas were not given love, always an item on the menu, but there wasn't a lot of love for it" Dina says. February 28th, 2024Murphy's menu is quite extensive including UFOs and pineapple rings alongside her bananas. Dina says "I could freeze the pineapples and dip them in chocolate and everyone loves chocolate covered pineapples”.
